All members have a unique Username which is often, but not always, their email address. If you are unsure of your Password or Username, please click on the 'Forgot Login?' link at the bottom of the 'Log-in/Log-out’ page and tick the relevant box(es). Enter your Username (if that box is shown) and the email address that the choir has for you on its database.

What should happen if you have forgotten your Password

After clicking on the 'Forgot your Password?' link on the Log-in page, you should enter your email address and a new password will be sent. You will receive an email like this:

A web user from http://www.exeterfestivalchorus.org.uk has just requested that a new password be sent.

Your New Password is:

If you didn't ask for this, don't worry. You are seeing this message, not somebody else. If this was an error just log in with your new password and then change your password to what you would like it to be.

  • Copy the new password from the email very carefully, taking care not to include any spaces at the start or finish.
  • Log-in with your username (normally your email address) and the password that you have just received. Do not accept the row of dots which automatically appears – this will represent the previously saved (and now obsolete) Password.

Once you have logged in, please change your Password to one that you will find easy to remember. This will help to protect the security of the site.

In the Members' Menu, click on the 5th box down on the right (Profile)
Click on Edit (Top left, below your name) and on Update your profile
In the Current Password box enter the password with which you logged in
In the New Password box enter the password that you have chosen
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Update box on the left

You should then get a message at the top of the screen saying 'Your settings have been saved'

Troubleshooter:

The Log-out button appears when I click Log-in/Log-out
This means that you are already logged in and that you can access all the 'members only' links (such as Committee Minutes & Reports). Perhaps you forgot to log out of your previous session?

You don't receive an email with the verification code
Please enter your correct email address: a small spelling or spacing error will cause your email to be sent elsewhere. The email address must be the one held on the choir's database - if you are not sure, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. The new password does not work
Please check that you have copied and pasted the password correctly: it should not have any leading or ending spaces or full stop.

I don't know my Username
In most cases, your Username is your email address, but if you are unsure click on the ‘Forgot your Username?’ link.

You try to log-in but get a "Username and Password do not match or you do not have an account yet" message
This is most likely due to a spelling or spacing error in the Username or Password that you have entered. Please try again.

You have tried all of the above but it still does not work
Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and ask for the Username and Password to be reset and emailed back to you.

A final thought
It might be useful to print a copy of this Help page for future reference - you could even write your new Username and Password on it in case you forget them at some future time!
